Files Legal Complaint Against 49th Assembly District Candidate Ed Chau

Joy Lin, wife of Assembly candidate Dr. Matthew Lin, has filed a legal complaint against 49th Assembly District candidate Ed Chau for violating her constitutional and statutory rights by sending out four campaign mailers to potentially tens of thousands of voters displaying her full name, home, and complete social security number.
?I personally knew that when I decided to run for office, it would be difficult on our family and that there would be misleading information about me, but never did I foresee having my opponent, attack my wife personally and potentially subject her to identify theft and credit fraud,? said Dr. Matthew Lin. ?My name is on the ballot and I am the one running for office, not my wife, the actions taken by Ed Chau seem low, even for a trial lawyer.?
On October 20, 2012, Mrs. Lin sent a written request to Chau, asking that he refrain from using her personal information in his campaign materials. The documents used by Chau attacking Dr. Lin, don?t contain Dr. Lin?s name and has nothing on the face of that document showing any connection to Dr. Lin.
The tax lien disclosing Mrs. Joy Lin?s full social security number was filed erroneously by the government and reversed more than fourteen years ago. Trial attorney Ed Chau knew this, yet mislead voters into believing that no taxes were paid.
Ed Chau ignored the October 20th request, and has continued to broadcast Mrs. Joy Lin?s full social security number via cable television and Youtube. Since Dr. Matthew Lin has ran for office, he has been a target of identity theft and Mrs. Lin fears she will be next.
Mrs. Lin was left with no other recourse, but to file a legal complaint against Chau on Friday, October 26, 2012, in the Los Angeles Superior Court. The file complaint requests that Chau cease from invading Mrs. Lin?s privacy as to her personal and financial affairs, and as to her social security number.

Stressed, depressed women terrible at using birth control - TODAY ...

By Rachael Rettner, MyHealthNewsDaily

SAN FRANCISCO ? Depression and stress can cause lapses in proper use of contraception, a new study suggests.

In the study, women with moderate to severe depression and stress symptoms were less likely to use contraception consistently ? that is, use it each time they had sex ? compared to women with mild or no symptoms. Women with depression or stress were also more likely to say they did not use contraception at all in the past week compared to women with less severe symptoms.

The findings, presented here on Monday at the annual meeting of the America Public Health Association, are concerning because, although preventing unplanned pregnancies is important for all women, it may be especially important for women with mental health issues, said study researcher Kelli Stidham Hall.

"Perhaps an unintended pregnancy for these women could make things even worse," said Hall, of the University of Michigan's Population Studies Center.

Family planning providers should consider mental health symptoms when they council their patients, Hall said.

In addition, women with depression and stress who do not want to become pregnant in the near future may be good candidates for long-acting reversible contraception, such as an IUD ? highly effective methods of birth control that women do not need to remember to use everyday or each time they have sex, which may be burdensome for some, Hall said.

Hall and colleagues analyzed information 689 non-pregnant women ages 18 and 19 living in Michigan. Participants first answered questions about their mental health. Then, for the next year, they filled out weekly journal entries that included the number of times they had sex in the past week, and whether they used contraception when they had sex.

About 25 percent of women had moderate to severe depression, and 25 percent had moderate to severe stress.

Overall, women used contraception consistently 72 percent of the time. The most common forms of contraception were oral birth control or condoms. For women with depression, the odds of using contraception consistently each week was 47 percent lower than for women with less severe symptoms. For those with stress, the odds of using contraception consistently were 69 percent lower.

Women with depression and stress may have social circumstances, such as unemployment, that interfere with their ability to effectively use contraception, Hall said. In addition, mental health issues may impair a person's ability to make decisions, Hall said.

The Military Biotech Technology Posted by samzenpus

Hugh Pickens writes writes "The Atlantic reports that experts in genetics and microbiology are convinced we may be only a few years away from the development of advanced, genetic bio-weapons able to target a single human being based on their DNA. The authors paint a scenario of the development of a virus that causes only mild flu in the general population but when the virus crosses paths with cells containing a very specific DNA sequence, the sequence would act as a molecular key to unlock secondary functions that would trigger a fast-acting neuro-destructive disease that produces memory loss and, eventually, death. The requisite equipment including gene sequencers, micro-array scanners, and mass spectrometers now cost over $1 million but on eBay, it can be had for as little as $10,000. According to Ronald Kessler, the author of the 2009 book In the President's Secret Service, Navy stewards gather bedsheets, drinking glasses, and other objects the president has touched?they are later sanitized or destroyed?in an effort to keep would-be malefactors from obtaining his genetic material. However no amount of Secret Service vigilance can ever fully secure the president's DNA, because an entire genetic blueprint can now be produced from the information within just a single cell. How to protect the President? The authors propose open-sourcing the president's genetic information to a select group of security-cleared researchers who could follow in the footsteps of the computer sciences, where 'red-team exercises,' are extremely common practices so a similar testing environment could be developed for biological war games. 'Advances in biotechnology are radically changing the scientific landscape. We are entering a world where imagination is the only brake on biology,' write the authors. 'In light of this coming synbio revolution, a wider-ranging relationship between scientists and security organizations?one defined by open exchange, continual collaboration, and crowd-sourced defenses?may prove the only way to protect the president.'"

Founders, ICE And The Rise Of The Entrepreneur Influencers

iceraelWatching the dawn come up with a bunch of European entrepreneurs on tour in Tel Aviv this week, and hanging out with many of them at the recent F.ounders conference in Dublin, made me realise one thing: these guys just don't care. They will do anything it takes to make it happen. Their attitude is in stark contrast some of the issues they face. Sometimes, when you look at the dire economies and the regulations European entrepreneurs have to deal with, you would forgive them for moving entirely to another part of the planet. Not only two they generally have to deal with less access to funding than their US counterparts, but also the EU commission looking over their shoulders with continual changes to Cookie and privacy laws. But increasingly they are waking up to the fact that they may just be at the start of a journey which sees them develop not just economic power but gradually, political influence.

Tea Party Polls: Allen West, Joe Walsh Among Incumbents In Trouble, PPP Data Finds

As the 2012 election calendar rolls toward its final week of campaigning, several Tea Party favorites find themselves in races that are too close for comfort.

A series of Public Policy Polling (PPP) surveys conducted from Oct. 25-26 and released on Sunday show four GOP freshmen -- Reps. Allen West (R-Fla.), Joe Walsh (R-Ill.), Chip Cravaack (R-Minn.) and Frank Guinta (R-N.H.) -- facing trouble in the polls. Veteran Rep. Dan Lungren (R-Calif.) is also in a battle for his electoral life.

PPP's survey of 631 likely voters in Florida's 18th congressional district shows West trailing Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy, 48 to 47 percent, with a 3.9 percent margin of error. The pair has engaged in a heated campaign, capped by a series of nasty ads attacking histories ranging from West's military record to Murphy's college arrest.

Walsh appears to be in the midst of an even more uphill battle. Of 500 likely voters in Illinois' 8th congressional district, 54 percent favored Democrat Tammy Duckworth, compared to 40 percent for Walsh, with a 4.4 percent margin of error. The Tea Party freshman turned heads in July when he accused Duckworth, a double-amputee Iraq War veteran, of not being a "true hero."

Cravaack is embedded in a tight race with former Democratic Congressman Rick Nolan (1975-81), who is giving Washington another go-run. PPP's poll of 1,020 likely voters in Minnesota's 8th congressional district found Nolan ahead 48 to 44 percent, with a 3.1 percent margin of error. The GOP incumbent drew criticism in June over a residency controversy tied to a health issue with his 10-year-old son.

Guinta is embroiled in a rematch with former Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-N.H.), whose seat he took during the 2010 Midterm Elections. PPP's findings among 654 likely voters in New Hampshire's 1st congressional district show Guinta holding a 48-to-47 percent edge, with a 3.8 percent margin of error. Guinta's women's rights record has been a prime target.

Lungren's bid for a 10th congressional term is in jeopardy, thanks to a strong bid from Indian-American Democratic challenger Ami Bera. PPP's data from 792 likely voters in California's 7th district shows Lungren and Bera knotted at 46 percent apiece, with a 3.5 percent margin of error. Boiling points during Lungren's 2012 campaign include August town hall protests against his tenure.

"This election is the first real referendum on the Tea Party and their fringe anti-choice views," said Becky Bond, president of CREDO, a super PAC aimed at taking down Tea Party candidates. "After witnessing their homophobic, anti-women and downright crazy views, their constituents are going up against their billionaire backers and are determined to do whatever it takes to kick them out of office."

(AP) ? Iraqi authorities forced an Iranian cargo plane heading to Syria to land for inspection in Baghdad to ensure it was not carrying weapons, an Iraqi official said Sunday.

It was the second such forced landing this month. The plane was released after the check.

The move appeared aimed at easing U.S. concerns that Iraq has become a route for shipments of Iranian military supplies that might could Syrian President Bashar Assad battle rebels in his country's civil war.

The head of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Nassir Bandar, said the inspection took place Saturday. The inspectors allowed the plane to continue its flight after they determined there were no weapons onboard, he said.

"Our experts found that the plane was carrying only medical supplies and foodstuffs," Bandar said, "so the flight was allowed to proceed."

Bandar said Iraqi authorities would continue searching planes suspected of transporting arms to Syria. Iraqi officials have repeatedly said they would not allow their country or airspace to be a corridor for arms shipments to either Syrian government forces or rebels.

Iraq ordered another Iranian cargo plane to land for inspection on Oct. 2. No weapons were found in that search, either.

Last month, Iraq banned a North Korea plane from crossing its airspace because of suspicions it was carrying weapons to Syria.

American officials have expressed concern that Iranian planes may be ferrying weapons over Iraq, and they have pressed Baghdad to take stronger action to ensure that no such transfers occur.

Also Sunday, police said three people were killed and eight others wounded when two bombs exploded near a market southeast of Baghdad.

Police said the simultaneous attacks Sunday morning took place in Madain, about 20 kilometers (14 miles) southeast of Baghdad, as shoppers started to arrive.

Medics in a nearby hospital confirmed the casualties. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to reporters.

Sunday's blasts followed a string of attacks that killed 40 people in the Iraqi capital a day earlier, including evening explosions near a market and a bus station in the Shiite neighborhood of Sadr City.

Saturday was the deadliest day from attacks in nearly six weeks.

Collaboration Tools the New Key in Communication

Social media vendors are enhancing the flow of knowledge through the workplace by enabling social software initiatives that span across departments, markets and businesses globally. Through their actions they are also gaining a strong sense of how effective collaboration tools can alleviate many of the common problems related to communications and workflows in every business. Previously there were often separate systems that did not talk to each other at all, causing information silos and communication breakdowns. It meant email migration software or conversion from one format to another was required. But the latest social software serves many functions and can provide an organisation with a platform to enable multiple business tasks and operations from one system. The use of mobile has further increased the capabilities of social software to provide a flexible framework that capitalises on social technology collaboration. The challenge now is to adopt this technology to benefit and ease often-disjointed collaboration between departments, trading partners, customers and suppliers.

Outspoken China officers a challenge to the party

(AP) ? China's government has demanded talks with Japan in their latest dust-up over a set of tiny islands, but a high-ranking Chinese military officer has suggested drastically more belligerent responses.

Dispatch hundreds of fishing boats to fight a maritime guerrilla war, says Maj. Gen. Luo Yuan. Turn the uninhabited outcroppings into a bombing range. Rip up World War II peace agreements and seize back the territory, now controlled by Japan but long claimed by China.

"A nation without a martial spirit is a nation without hope," Luo declared at an academic forum this month in the southern city of Shenzhen while officials in Beijing continued to urge negotiations.

Luo's remarks reflect a challenge for China's leadership from a military increasingly willing to push the limits of the ruling Communist Party's official line on foreign relations, territorial claims and even government reforms. It's a challenge that will need to be carefully managed if a once-a-decade leadership transition beginning Nov. 8 is to go smoothly, with China's global reputation and the party's credibility both at stake.

Backed by what is now the world's second-largest military budget behind the U.S., the People's Liberation Army is bristling with new armaments and is becoming increasingly assertive. That has distressed neighbors such as Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines, all locked in disputes with China over island territory potentially rich in oil, and has prompted the U.S. to send more military assets to the region.

Presiding over this force will be a new generation of military leaders taking power at the same time as the new crop of political leaders.

Up to seven of the 10 uniformed members of the Central Military Commission, which oversees the armed forces, are set to retire. Members of the new panel are expected to demand an even greater say in decision making ? and a tougher line in disputes with other nations.

While President Hu Jintao's absolute command over the armed forces had at time been questioned, his presumed successor ? Vice President Xi Jingping ? may have an easier time keeping officers on-message because of his closer ties with many top military figures as a fellow "princeling" ? those with ties to communist China's founding fathers.

He may have to wait, though: Hu will likely seek to hold onto his position as chairman of the military commission for another two years, as his predecessor did. Also, five officers generally considered loyal to Hu were promoted this week to top posts such air force commander and chief of the general staff, meaning they will sit on the new commission once it is appointed next month.

Officially, China espouses a "peaceful rise" philosophy that stresses a defensive military posture and the negotiated resolution of disputes. But the PLA's newest generation of ships, submarines, stealth planes and the development of its first aircraft carrier suggest the capability for operations far from home.

Hawkish officers such as Luo have a broad audience in the PLA and in a Chinese public that has grown more stridently nationalistic and increasingly impatient with a ruling party seen as bloated, unresponsive and corrupt. Luo, whose father was a top security officer for Mao Zedong, has at times openly questioned the legitimacy of the "peaceful rise" philosophy and warned that it doesn't preclude China from using force to assert its interests.

Their sentiments find a ready audience via books, online sites and even in state media.

There's a "continual tug-of-war between the party and the PLA," said Denny Roy, an expert on the Chinese military and senior fellow at the East-West Center in Hawaii.

"The party may not want to appear to be trying to stifle a popular nationalistic position expressed by a military man, (which could) turn public anger against the civilian leadership," Roy said.

The 2.3 million-member PLA is technically the house army of the Communist Party, ultimately loyal to the party rather than the Chinese nation. Its chief mission is ensuring the party's hold on power, as it did in 1989 in the bloody suppression of pro-democracy protests centered on Beijing's Tiananmen Square.

No military officers are openly challenging party control. But some have railed against official corruption and called for a degree of political openness that makes party leaders nervous. Among the boldest has been Gen. Liu Yazhou, whose works espousing greater democracy have been privately published and placed in coffee shops in Beijing's university district.

"Senior officers feel entitled to raise their voices because they believe that the party's corruption has elevated the relative standing of the PLA," said Washington-based military strategist and historian Edward Luttwak, who knows Luo personally.

In the 2009 book "China Dream," senior colonel and National Defense University professor Liu Mingfu called for China to upend U.S. dominance in international relations, saying China had a stark choice between becoming the pre-eminent power or one that has "been left behind and eliminated."

Those sentiments were echoed in the introduction to a 2010 scholarly work by Gen. Liu Yuan, whose father, Liu Shaoqi, was a Chinese head of state in the 1950s and 1960s. The younger Liu called for China to cast aside restraint and praised warfare as a foundation of modern culture.

"Those involved in warfare are the most glorious, wonderful, and mournful," wrote Liu, a full general in the PLA who serves as a political commissar.

Requests to interview Luo and the three Lius, who are not related, were declined.

Many observers see a pronounced gap between the headline-grabbing views and bombastic statements of these kinds of officers ? most often based in academia ? and those of unit commanders who are much more cognizant of the PLA's limitations, as well as top military leaders considered staunchly loyal to the party.

"I would emphasize that, overall, the party leadership wields ultimate decision-making power on key national security issues," said Sarah McDowall, a China analyst with IHS Janes in Britain.

The PLA also has shown the world a friendlier side in recent years, cooperating in anti-pirate patrols off Africa's coast, joining in UN peacekeeping operations and sending a hospital ship to the Caribbean. However, some of that may be as much about testing the ability to operate far afield as about diplomacy.

Xi, the incoming leader, is seen as representing a strain of firm, though not shrill, nationalism. His ties to the military are smoothed by his years in uniform as secretary to former Defense Minister Geng Biao from 1979-1982 ? as well as his being the son of a leading communist guerrilla.

The military will continue to yield major sway through its outsized representation on major bodies. It will have 251 delegates at the national party congress opening Nov. 8, three times the number from China's most populous province, Henan.

Its influence has ensured robust spending on such new assets as the prototype J-20 stealth fighter.

McDowall of HIS Jane's said the PLA's influence has been growing in recent years "owing to the increasing resources allocated to it" and that it has a major, behind-the-scenes say in this year's political leadership transition.

"High-ranking military men may feel they have slack in the leash and can speak boldly" when the country's political establishment is in flux, said Roy, the East-West Center senior fellow. "For many in the Chinese military, these outspoken guys are patriotic heroes."

Gestational Diabetic issues - A Guide For Pregnant Moms

Gestational diabetes is something that is not to be neglected by pregnant mothers. This kind of diabetes happens during maternity to females who have never been recognized with diabetes before.

The actual cause of gestational diabetes is still unidentified, although there is a strong probability that the testosterone accountable in the growth of the placenta have something to do with it.

The Symptoms

If you are looking for tell-tale symptoms to know if you do have gestational diabetes, you may only get disappointed. The regular symptoms and symptoms of diabetes such as improved hunger, improved urinating and exhaustion may be puzzled with the frequent symptoms and symptoms of maternity.

Test for Diabetes

While not every expecting mom is recognized with gestational diabetes, expectant mothers are however recommended to go through certain assessments (usually on the 5th month of their pregnancy) to determine whether or not they have gestational diabetes. One of these assessments is the dental sugar patience check in which you will be made to drink a glass of sugar solution. After an hour you will go through a blood vessels check to measure the stages of sugar in your blood vessels.

The complications

It has to be highlighted that this form of diabetes can harm both you and the child. Although it does not cause birth problems as it usually happens after the body parts of the child have already developed, it can however lead to a variety of issues such as a heavier child, hypoglycemia, jaundice, breathing problems, and creating issues like difficulty in walking, getting, etc.

On your part, you will be at higher danger for:

o pre-eclampsia
o bladder system infections

Treating gestational diabetes

So what should a mom do if she has gestational diabetes? When you have gestational diabetes, you need to seek therapy instantly. Go to a diabetologist at once so he can evaluate your needs and come up with the right course of action.

The course of action in gestational diabetes has the major goal of managing blood vessels sugar stages through:

o the right diet
o exercise

Opale de Bactriane ? How Does Car Insurance Work?

Renters Insurance san Francisco There are more cars and drivers hitting the road every year. With countless cars on the road, crashes will happen. The difference between a minor bother and major pain can be automobile insurance. So how do you know what insurance you need and how much to buy? Auto insurance protects you by covering the cost of damage or injury you cause others while driving your car, damage to your car or injury to you or your passengers from a crash, plus certain other occurrences, such as theft. Automobile insurance is required by law in all states and provinces. Without insurance, you risk having to pay the full price of any harm you cause others or of repairing or replacing your car if it is damaged or stolen. It pays for damages due to bodily injury and property damage to others for which you are responsible. Bodily injury damages include medical expenses, lost wages and pain and suffering. Property damage includes damaged property and loss of use of property. It also covers your defense and court costs if you are sued. State laws usually mandate minimum amounts, but higher amounts are available and usually recommended. Personal injury protection: This is required in some states and is optional in others. Sometimes referred to as no-fault coverage, this pays the medical treatment for you or your passengers regardless of who was at fault. It may also pay for lost earnings, replacement of services and funeral expenses. State law usually sets minimum amounts. Medical payments: This coverage is available in non-no-fault states; it pays despite who may have been at fault. It pays for an insured person?s reasonable and necessary medical and funeral expenses for bodily injury from a crash. Collision: Pays for damage to your car caused by an accident. Comprehensive: This applies if your car is stolen or damaged by causes other than collision, including fire, wind, hail, flood or vandalism. Uninsured motorist: Pays for damages when an insured person is injured in a crash caused by another person who does not have liability insurance or by a person who cannot be identified (usually a hit-and-run driver). Under-insured motorist: Pays for damages when an insured person is injured in a crash caused by another person who does not have enough liability insurance to cover the full amount of the damages. Other coverage, such as emergency road service and car rental, is also available.Your auto insurance payments vary by company and will depend on several factors, including: *Your selected coverage *Your vehicle?s make and model * Your driving record * Your age, gender and marital status and * Where you live Many people think of auto insurance as a necessary evil, but it can save your financial well-being. Aid Purchasers Connect Emotionally With A Property By Home ...

by SYA on October 25, 2012

By Patrick Howard

Buying a property is usually a once-in-a-lifetime encounter for some of us, typically happening at a time in his or her life when there are a number of other things to ponder: managing a career, taking care of a family, and looking to build financial stability for the whole family?s future. With so many aspects on the line, paying for the suitable property gets that much more important; expending a considerable chunk of the family?s resources on a building that improperly fits each member?s needs, or costs much more than its true cost would produce more long-term monetary inconveniences for the family later on and undermine the stability they have been striving very hard to attain.

Home buyers look at a house available for sale for signs that they can reside in ease and security in that particular property; they can instantly identify features and concerns that they comprehend would not be in favor of their style or construction likes or hamper their established home activities. Through home staging, real estate professionals can enable purchasers quickly see for themselves what residing in a certain house would be like with the right arrangement of furniture pieces and decorative elements, making their choice of a property a lot easier.

Home styling can entail as little as reorganising the existing fixtures to totally furnishing an empty space all the way through. A property stylist with a sharp eye for design and for the intricacies that enable purchasers come up with an emotional connection with a certain living space can effectively show a house in the most impressive possible set up. While a handful of buyers choose to check out vacant home spaces to enable them to imagine for themselves how their own possessions would blend with and occupy the area, other individuals find it far more helpful to check out a house filled with well-positioned home furnishings so that they can clearly visualize their family moving about in the space.

A handful of families also prefer to be able to transfer to their new home instantly, and styled homes can quickly put buyers in an atmosphere where they can simply visualize themselves living into at once. Furthermore, customers are more attuned to design concepts and functional home applications nowadays; with the increasing number of television reality shows centering on home makeovers and interior design, people now have a better notion of style concepts that work to make a home appear more roomy, comforting, or productive, and they are fast to notice the presence of these factors in a potential home.

With property presentation, home sale campaigns can be concluded much quicker than ordinarily anticipated and designed homes will have a significant edge over the non-styled competition. Families will be grateful to invest their hard-earned resources in a residence that they can fully see themselves blissfully and snugly residing in for years to come.

With Styling Property, home sale campaigns can be finished considerably faster than traditionally predicted and designed homes will have a huge advantage over the non-styled competition.

GameKlip: Turn your Cell Phone into a Game Console | This 8-Bit Life

Leland Flynn

Mobile gaming, whatever you may think of it, is a pretty big deal right now. There are tons of great games for almost any cell phone imaginable and even some wildly successful franchises but, sadly some genres simply do not translate well to a touch screen experience. Play any FPS on your cell phone and you will see what I mean. It?s not usually a terrible experience, but it?s not really good either. If you?ve ever loaded up an emulator on your phone (ya know, for all those legit rom backups) and tried to play a game using overlayed touch controls then I feel your pain and frustration.

Enter the GameKlip.

The Good

This is a very simple product. What you get for your $15 is essentially just a lasercut piece of bent ABS plastic that attaches to a standard PS3 controller, which is actually better than it sounds. The mount is easy enough to install in a matter of seconds though attaching it can take a bit of patience as the plastic will be stiff on your first go. One of the benefits of it being made from ABS is the sturdiness you feel once it?s attached. I was intentionally rough with the GameKlip while testing it and was pleasantly surprised that I never saw my phone so much as loosen.

?

?

?To connect my phone to the PS3 controller I used a micro USB-to-USB A adapter, otherwise known as a USB OTG adapter. In case you?re wondering you can find thes on Amazon for like $1. If you?ve rooted your particular device then using the PS3 controller via Bluetooth is quite easy, though it will require an app from the Android Market called Sixaxis Controller. Luckily the GameKlip has a well placed port to accommodate?most USB cables.

Once connected everything feels quite comfortable. You get the familiarity of a console controller and the portability of an (albeit bulky) handheld.

?

The Bad

I really do like this product for what it is; simple and effective. What I don?t like is the price; for $15 I would really have expected something like a locking hinge for adjusting viewing angles. I did find a few instances where glare from a nearby light would interfere with my experience and I would have really preferred to tilt the screen rather than my wrists. This would not have been difficult to implement or costly for that matter.

The only other gripe I have, and it is a minor one, is that when resting on the table the whole unit can tend to be a bit unstable, especially with a heavier phone. I honestly can?t think of a viable design solution for this and to be fair, you would likely not leave your phone docked in the clip when done playing.

Overall

I was very pleased with this mobile gaming solution. It made playing through Megaman X2 and Shadowgun quite a bit of fun and much easier on the go. The price could certainly use a bit of a tweak; I can?t see any reason why this product couldn?t sell for $8 and still make a tidy profit. And honestly, $15 dollars for something I could cut out on a laser cutter myself for $5 in material feels a lot like prohibitive cost. That being said, I am not most consumers.

If you?re looking for a comfortable way to play games on your cell phone I would definitely recommend this product.

German Shepherd Dog - Apache - Large - Adult - Female - Dog | Big ...

German Shepherd Dog - Apache - Large - Adult - Female - Dog

Apache is a very large, beautiful white German Shepherd born in 2008. He is a neutered male that is house broken and crate trained. Although he is a vocal dog who likes to "talk" he will be silent when commanded to do so. Apache is not food aggressive and has no resource guarding issues. He plays well with other dogs. Apache is a strong willed, bold dog that will need an owner who has shepherd experience, preferably with white shepherds. We do not have enough history to determine if he was ever in a family with children. With an alpha leader Apache should do well as a loyal companion dog and with his size and vocals you can be sure no one will try to enter your home uninvited. If you think Apache is for you please call to arrange a play date with him.

Actually, they're not. Directv is actually an offshoot of Hughes, a major defense contractor and important part of the Military-Industrial Complex. They pioneered many of America's satellite systems for the Pentagon in the early years.

Here is some wiki:

Hughes Space and Communications Company was formed as a subsidiary of Hughes Aircraft in 1961 following the merger of the company's Space and Communications Group and the Hughes Space Systems Division.[4] This division built the world's first geosynchronous communications satellite, Syncom, in 1963 and followed it closely with the first geosynchronous weather satellite, A/TS-1, in 1966. Later that year their Surveyor 1 made the first soft landing on the Moon as part of the lead-up to the moon landings in Project Apollo. Hughes also built Pioneer Venus in 1978, which performed the first extensive radar mapping of Venus, and the Galileo probe that flew to Jupiter in the 1990s.[4] The company built nearly 40 percent of commercial satellites in service worldwide in 2000.[8]

Here are Some Good Reasons to Consider Investing in China Again ...

With negative sentiment toward China reaching an extreme in recent months, patient investors have been rewarded with this week?s news of improving data from the Asian giant. [In fact, according to BCA] this appears to be a good time to be investing in China, as stocks are historically cheap. Words: 760

So says Frank Holmes, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of U.S. Global Investors(www.usfunds.com)?in edited excerpts from his original article* posted under the title Chinese Stocks Looking Like a Bargain.

Lorimer Wilson, editor of www.FinancialArticleSummariesToday.com (A site for sore eyes and inquisitive minds) and www.munKNEE.com (Your Key to Making Money!), has edited the article below for length and clarity ? see Editor?s Note at the bottom of the page. This paragraph must be included in any article re-posting to avoid copyright infringement.

Holmes goes on to say, in part:

Retail Sales, Disposable Income and Export Numbers

CLSA Sinology?s Andy Rothman reported that in September:

  • retail sales growth rose 13.2 percent, which was the fastest pace of the year,
  • real urban disposable income grew nearly 10 percent and
  • real rural disposable income rose more than 12 percent during the first three quarters of the year and,
  • while export numbers are weak, China has so far avoided the large-scale export-sector layoffs that led to 2009?s massive stimulus.

Commodity Imports

There was strength in commodity imports, too.

  • Copper imports into China increased 11 percent compared to the previous month due to increased demand from power infrastructure, white goods restocking and auto production.
  • Iron ore rose a modest 4 percent compared to the previous month, which is encouraging.
  • There was also a sharp rebound in oil imports most likely due to holiday restocking and lower international prices. In fact, Pareto Securities found that Chinese implied oil demand came in at an all-time high of 9.8 million barrels per day in September.

?

Chinese Implied Oil Demand as All-Time High

Fixed Asset Investment

The markets also saw an increase in fixed asset investment (FAI), a measure of capital spending, which grew at ?the fastest pace since October 2011,? says CLSA. According to Credit Suisse, ?a surge in transportation spending in the month of September is starting to reflect the project approvals for highway, rail, airport, and metropolitan transport projects announced in May and June.?

While Credit Suisse says FAI growth was boosted by government investment stimulus, CLSA also notes that fixed asset investment and capital spending by private firms has been rising faster than state-owned firms for 30 of the last 31 months.

Money Supply

Money supply, a key lubricant of the economy and markets, also continued to increase, and this has historically driven Chinese equities. Take a look at the chart below, which shows the year-over-year money supply compared to the MSCI China Index over the past decade. Over the past 10 years, after the supply in money bottomed, stocks soon rebounded.

On January 31, 2012, money supply hit a near decade low of 12.4 percent year-over-year growth. Since then, the number has been creeping higher, rising sharply to 14.8 percent in September, and shortly thereafter, equities responded.

?

Money Supply Growth Bullish for Chinese Stocks

Stock Prices & Investor Sentiment?

The Wall Street Journal recognized the improvement in Asian stocks and investor sentiment this week, suggesting that the ?region?s economy could be nearing the end of a slowdown? and that??if the Chinese economy shows sustained signs of stabilizing, it would remove a major overhang of worry for investors in Asia, and may spur more capital raising and other deals as investors become confident enough to switch money out of bonds and back into equity markets.?

Who in the world is currently reading this article along with you? Click here

This appears to be a good time to be investing in China, as stocks are historically cheap. At the beginning of October, BCA noted that there was a ?prevailing pessimism? around China and that the stocks were ?currently trading at hefty discounts to world averages and even to euro zone stocks.? The firm indicated that Chinese shares had a forward price-to-earnings ratio of below 9 times; the world and U.S. benchmarks traded at 12 and 13 times, respectively.

Chinese stocks are also cheap compared to emerging markets. In 2007, China traded at a 75 percent premium to emerging markets. Today, Chinese stocks trade at a 20 percent discount. If you look at a comparison of price-to-earnings in China to those in emerging markets, you have to go back to 2006 to find that ratio as low as it is today.

?

Chinese Stocks Cheap Relative to Emerging Markets on a P/E Ratio Basis

The low price-to-earnings indicates to me that the negativity pendulum has swung too far. ?Investors have turned from euphoria at the height of the ?China mania? five years ago to extreme pessimism,? says BCA.

Conclusion

Back in April, I listed three trends that global investors should watch in China: A rebound in the liquidity cycle signaling a rally in equity prices, a new leadership with an incentive to maintain growth, and Chinese stocks reverting to their mean, as history appears to favor Chinese stocks landing in the top half of emerging markets [see table below].

The Periodic Table of Emerging Markets - China

Time will tell.

In order to argue that we will not see a sharp slowdown in Chinese growth, it is not enough to claim that a) some expert or institution has predicted that Chinese growth will not slowdown, b)that China has enough savings in its coffers to bail itself out of a crisis or c) that Beijing leaders cannot tolerate growth below 8%, so of course growth will not drop below 8%.
